Ahh, so much to talk about, so little time.... Or something like that.

I guess I'll start with Kirk, since he is what is weighing on my mind the heaviest at the moment. Here's the situation: Stephanie took it upon herself to "set me up" with one of her friends from the high school. His name is Kirk. He's graduating at the end of the semester. Stephanie had a birthday party last night, and she thought that would be an ideal time for me and Kirk to meet. So, I arrive at the party, and I imediately begin to feel disconnected. It was like, "What the hell am I doing with all these high school teeny-boppers?"

So let me skip ahead a little here. We were watching "Interview With A Vampire." I was sitting in an arm chair while everyone else is on the floor. Kirk and some other people were beckoning me to go down and sit with them. However, in the process of getting to the floor, I fall on top of Kirk and Stephanie's other friend named Stephanie. So my boobs are smashed into their faces. Yeah, real slick. So, I'm finally situated, but we're all packed in like sardines, shoulder to shoulder. Kirk starts coughing and stuff. I'm guessing he's asthmatic since he had an inhaler with him. I patted his hand and asked him if he was okay, but he didn't let go. He held my hand throughh the entire movie. I suppose I could have let go if I wanted to, but I gues it did feel nice to be holding a guy's hand again.... So the movie ends, we sit up, and he finally lets go of my hand. He whispers in my ear "Thank You" and he said he's a very affectionate person. I said I was affectionate too, so I guess we'd make a good pair. But then he said that one thing we have to get straight in the "relationship." is to make sure to continue to hang out with these guys. WHOA! DOUBLE TAKE! "Relationship?" I just met him a few hours before.

But it doesn't stop there. When Stephanie and I walk him out to his car, he hugs me goodbye, and says it was great to meet me. I don't know what made me do it, but I gave him my number. So he says that he'll try to call me on Monday. He says that he can't call me on Sunday because he works, and Sunday is family night. Then he says he'd invite me, but he'd have to ask his grandmother. Second double take. He wants me to meet his family now? When did I sign up for that? I just met the guy.

Okay. Here's the topper. He's supposedly a VAMPIRE. That's right. You didn't read it wrong. Like the movie. A vampire. V-A-M-P-I-R-E. What the fuck am I supposed to say to that? What does that mean? Does he suck people's blood? I tried to ask someone at the party, but all I got was that it has to do with the exchange of energy. Whatever.

I'm just kind of freaking out here. I just met Kirk, and he's already saying we're in a "relationship," he already wants me to meet his family, and he's a vampire? I spent a few hours at a high school party with a guy, hardly saying a word, I hold his hand, and we're in a relationship? When he calls on Monday, we will definitely have to have a looooong talk.
